People Care

PLOT 22 is an allotment garden where people of all ages and experience can get involved in planting, growing and eating healthy seasonal food. The garden is peaceful and restorative and people tell us just being here helps them feel relaxed and refreshed. When you come along you'll find a diverse group of people,  contributing their unique skills and abilities to make the PLOT an enjoyable and rejuvenating place to be. It's where connections to each other and the land deepens over time.

Earth Care

PLOT 22 models simple ways we can conserve our natural resources and live in harmony with the seasons. We encourage and demonstrate how to grow food and make compost. We garden organically and the design of the garden and the way we work is inspired by the principles of Permaculture. We practice an ethos of kindness with each other which extends to the land and the non-human inhabitants at PLOT 22.

Fair Share

PLOT 22 is a volunteer led charity. The vegetables we grow are shared by cooking a communally prepared meal when we garden together. We also offer fruit and vegetables free to anyone who participates in activities or volunteers with us.  We strive at all times to operate in the spirit of transparency, collaboration and fairness. You can find out how it all started and who looks after the running of the project here.
